Peggy McCartha is a Certified Professional Photographer with over 37 years of experience, including more than a decade devoted to studying the psychology of images—what makes them “pop,” connect emotionally, and communicate brand messages that truly resonate. She empowers professionals, creative business owners, and entrepreneurs to strategically use their visual presence to make lasting first impressions and build trust in today’s image-saturated, digital world.
Peggy’s passion for visual storytelling was profoundly shaped by the 12 years she lived on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona, where she opened her first photography studio in 1994. As the mother of Navajo children, she learned the language and became deeply embedded in the Diné community, ensuring her children stayed deeply connected to their cultural roots. Guided by the Diné philosophy of Hózhó—balance, harmony, and beauty—Peggy weaves these values into both her life and work. Her time on the reservation instilled a lifelong respect for Indigenous culture and a commitment to storytelling rooted in integrity, humility, and authentic connection.
Beyond photography, Peggy produces impactful video content and insightful podcasts, working with clients who lead with purpose and seek to educate, inspire, and grow their influence. Her multimedia approach helps clients show up with confidence, align their visual identity with their mission, and communicate their message with intention and clarity. As the creator of the Headshot Strategist® Program, Peggy teaches—through online courses, one-on-one coaching, and group workshops—how to show up on camera with purpose and presence.
